About your mission

Why your job matters

Role

·      Manages the core network infrastructure environment, including Cisco firewall and switch day to day administration.

·      Manages the installation, securing, repair/troubleshooting and maintenance of LAN and WAN environments, overseeing the implementation of data and network security.

·      Maintains the business-as-usual activities around the LAN and WAN environments.

·      Adheres to organisation’s policies, procedures, and documentation requirements (i.e.Change Control, etc.).

What the job will entail day to day

·       Full Azure Tenant administration, Licensing, Reporting, troubleshooting.

·       Microsoft Office 365 - Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Administration, etc.

·       Support day-to-day operations using One Drive, and SharePoint Online

·       Administration, architecture design, maintain, report on AWS / Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS services.

·      Understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts, comfortable managing and provisioning computer data centres through machine-readable definition files. Scripting and deploying using PowerShell and Terraform.

·       Azure Privilege Administration - Role based access, Group administration, Audits, Manage memberships, licensing, and general troubleshooting.

·       Monitor software applications for performance, integrity, and security in accordance with relevant compliance policies, standards, laws, and best practices.

·       Architect, configure, deploy, and maintain necessary production and non-production environments related to cloud applications on servers and/or workstations.

·       Monitor for upgrades, patches, updates, installs, and keeps service versions current on production and test environments.

·       Maintain and use testing and validation processes to assure integrity and stability of services and applications.

·       Work within the change management process for all configuration changes to cloud services and related environments.

·       Maintain documentation and diagrams for cloud services.

·       Manage and Maintain Service Level Agreements, Memos of Understanding, Service Definitions, Run Books, and Playbooks.

·       Work with internal and 3rd party teams to facilitate and coordinate resources needed to support the software applications including servers, network, firewall, database, identity, monitoring, backup, security, project management, architecture, and communication.

·       Use financial costs and metrics of operating service applications including those related to operational and backup resources as part of organisational strategy.

·      Select and operate tools for cloud storage management, high availability, cloud migration, and optimisation of cloud costs.

Who we are looking for

Special Requirements:  

·      Willing to work overtime - as an exception when required.

·      Perform standby duties - as an exception when required.

·      Travel nationally.

·      Must be self-learning.

·      Able to work independently.

·      Must have own and reliable transport.

Preferred Qualifications

·      Matricor equivalent qualification recognised by the Department of Higher Education & Training.

·      National diploma or degree inrelevant field will be an advantage.

Skillsand Experience

·      Jnr at least 2 – 3 years’ work experience in Cloud / Systems administration role.

·      Snr at least 6 – 10 years’ work experience in Cloud / Systems administration role.

·      Multicloud knowledge and experience is highly advantageous.

·      Strong knowledge of AWS (preferred) and or Azure Cloud, SAAS, IAAS and PAAS service.

·      Strong knowledge of Microsoft office 365 forEnterprise.

·      Knowledge of Cloud Security and patch management processes on Cloud environment.
