Direct Transact will assist our customers with card designs, from the initial concept to the final acceptance by the customer, as well as the approval by the Card Association in the required format. This includes the application of the Card Association's logo on the card.

Direct Transact has the ability to create card production files, when the data from the host for the issuing of new or replacement cards, is received. These files are transmitted to the Card Production House as a secure file according to the standards of the Card Production House, for embossing purposes and to encode the magnetic strip. Card distribution is done according to the requirements set out by the customer.

Pins are generated by Direct Transact using the Pin encryption key of the customer, which is loaded onto the Racal 7000 HSM of Direct Transact (under the supervision of the auditors of the issuer).

Direct Transact prints pin envelopes on stationary supplied by the customer, and delivers the envelopes directly to a central point at the customer. This process is governed by the Direct Transact Policy for Pin and Card Production and Distribution. The card and Pin production environment is secure and adheres to the requirements of Visa. The process has been audited and accepted by various banks.
