Rudi is responsible for new system development, support and maintenance and network infrastructure. He also manages all company policies and procedures and forms the link between business and IT.

Rudi started his banking career in 1982 when he joined a South African retail bank in various departments within the bank’s branch network. In 1984, he was transferred to the Head Office of the bank where he played a key role in the establishment of the Electronic Banking Division and the design and development of the new generation banking system for the bank.

Rudi participated in the forum of the South African Reserve Bank to establish the business rules of the current (SAMOS) interbank settlement system. In 1999 he was appointed as the Head of the Bank’s Electronic Banking System and played a key role in the implementation of the Postilion switch system used by Direct Transact and the 20twenty virtual bank project. He served on most PASA Clearing
House Forums as a representative of the Bank.
