Anthony holds a B. Compt (1993), B. Compt Honours (1994), B Compt / CTA (1996) and a C.A (S.A) (1997) degree from the University of South Africa.

His working career began as a Senior Article Clerk at Price Waterhouse Coopers in 1996 whilst completing his studies. In 1999, Anthony decided to pursue a career in the banking arena, where he joined a retail bank as Financial Manager for Group Strategic Services and the Electronic Banking Division.
